Abbreviations
Kfb - knit into the front and back of the stitch, one stitch increased. 
P2tog - purl 2 together (insert the needle in the next 2 stitches as if to purl, purl the two together)
pm -  place marker
sm -  slip marker
sts - stitches
 [....] repeat section as directed


Tension: 20 sts x 24 rows over 10cm x 10cm square in stocking stitch using 4.5mm needles, 5 x 50m dk Beaker Button mini skeins (or similar dk yarn), yarn needle for sewing up, 2 stitch markers, 125g of stuffing. This pattern is knitted in the flat but is easier to work with circular needles.  Finished neck pillow measures about 30cm across from farthest points and 23cm from top to bottom. It is 11cm across. This can change depending on how firmly you stuff it.

Colours: red - A, yellow - B, green - C, blue - D, purple - E

Cast on 60 sts in A
P20, pm, P20, pm, P20
Knit to marker, sm, [kfb, K1] to next marker, sm, knit to end
Purl, slipping markers as you go passed them
Starting with knit work 4 rows in stocking stitch
Change to B
Knit to marker, sm, [kfb, K2] to next marker, sm, knit to end
Starting with purl work 5 rows in stocking stitch
Change to C
Knit to marker, sm, [kfb, K3] to next marker, sm, knit to end
Starting with purl work 5 rows in stocking stitch
Change to D
Knit to marker, sm, [kfb, K4] to next marker, sm, knit to end
Starting with purl work 5 rows in stocking stitch
Change to E
Knit to marker, sm, [kfb, K5] to next marker, sm, knit to end
Starting with purl work 10 rows in stocking stitch
Purl to marker, sm, [P2tog, P5] to next marker, sm, purl to end
Change to D
Starting with knit work 5 rows in stocking stitch
Purl to marker, sm, [P2tog, P4] to next marker, sm, purl to end
Change to C
Starting with knit work 5 rows in stocking stitch
Purl to marker, sm, [P2tog, P3] to next marker, sm, purl to end
Change to B
Starting with knit work 5 rows in stocking stitch

Knit one row
Cast off loosely.



Sew cast off and cast on edges together firmly. Sew one end firmly. Stuff with stuffing and sew other end. Wrap around your neck and relax in comfort.
